Nestled in the first floor of The Niedermeyer Building (originally constructed in 1837), a lovingly restored historic site in downtown Columbia, Magnolia’s blends the sophistication of a curated spirit selection with the warmth of community—and an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else downtown.

A Modern Twist on the Classics—From craft whisky cocktails to globally inspired wines, Magnolia’s menu highlights reimagined favorites. Each drink and dish is thoughtfully crafted using seasonal ingredients from local farms and artisans.
Locally Sourced, Consciously Curated—Sustainability and community support are front and center. By sourcing from Missouri producers, Magnolia’s supports the local economy while delivering ultra-fresh flavors.
Historic Charm, Unparalleled Atmosphere—Magnolia’s is housed in a beautifully preserved historic building that offers rustic elegance, exposed brick, and a sense of timeless character. Locally owned & family operated
At the helm is Linda, the driven owner whose dream is now a reality. Backed by her amazing family, Magnolia’s is more than a bar—it’s a fully invested passion project, built by a family who cares deeply about what they serve, how they serve it, and the experience each guest takes away.
Her son Tyler is the culinary mastermind behind our small plates and charcuterie boards. His elevated menu brings sophistication to your glass of wine or whisky. And soon, he’ll lead the way with Magnolia’s Bistro next door.
Her brother Chris keeps the magic alive by lovingly maintaining the historic building and grounds. You’ll see him jumping in, always finding ways to help and filling numerous roles to make what needs to happen, happen.
And let’s not forget Riain, a dear friend who relocated to join this dream. As Bar Director, he’s curating a drink experience that’s second to none—come try one of his signature pours!
More than just another bar, Magnolia’s is a fully invested passion project, built by a family who cares deeply about what they serve, how they serve it, and the experience each guest takes away. Every detail— from the seasonally-inspired menu to the locally sourced ingredients—is rooted in authenticity and an unwavering commitment to quality.
“Our mission with Magnolia’s is to create something that feels timeless and thoughtful,” says Linda Libert, Owner, the heart and mind behind the bar. “We’re not just pouring drinks—we’re pouring our energy, our passion, and our love for Columbia into every glass. We’ve built something we believe in.”
“And we’re just getting started. In the coming year—phase two: Magnolia’s Bistro”, adds Tyler Libert, future Executive Chef. Located just across the hall from the bar, this intimate dining space will feature an expanded menu and full kitchen, offering even more indulgent options for those who crave more than just drinks and small plates.
